You might try TorGuard for 7 days (and AFAR up. Or have the best of both worlds - PIA for some barebone privacy, heavyweight traffic (netflix, etc.). However just expect some slowdowns compared to PIA. If You have privacy concerns with US based companies - go with AirVPN. They are hard to beat if it comes to stable speed. My recommendation would be: If You are OK with PIA stick with them. To sum thing up: If You have PIA, expect much some speed degradation with TorGuard. They were helpful tracking my speed problems, and finally accepted my money back request in seconds. On the other hand TorGuard support was excellent. They are US based also, so from my perspective PIA won this competition. They dont have nice optimal server selection like PIA and AirVPN both have, nor nice network monitoring like AirVPN do. My perception was they were slower than PIA (much slower) and slower tha AirVPN. ![]() In my region, experience was little bit disappointing. Rock solid, however require some more technical knowledge to get working. Also the are - say - more geekie than PIA, barebones. Having said that - they are still expanding their servers and I hope they eventually match PIA. Although they are rock solid and stable as PIA, I must admit that in peak hours my speed dips. They are one of the best companies out there if it comes to privacy. I would go all the way with PIA, except they are US based, so - because of my privacy views - I prefer AirVPN. However myself for myown computer and mobiles I use AirVPN. I use PIAs new AES-256/SHA256/RSA-4096 on my Asus router to tunnel all my household traffic 24/7 ( ). I see maybe 2-3% of my regular speed degradation. I have stable 37-38Mbs throughput (my ISP is 40Mbs). If it comes to speed PIA beats TorGuard and AirVPN by wide margin.
